In anticipation of reopening, we caught up with General Manager Andrew Pike at The Milestone Hotel & Residences, to hear what the team has planned for this upcoming summer...

How long have you been at The Milestone?

17 years this autumn!

You must be very excited about the re-opening of the hotel on the 17th May. What have you and the team been doing to keep busy while the hotel was temporarily closed?

Selling our residences (that have remained open), completing a number of maintenance jobs to ensure we are looking our best as we reopen and keeping in regular contact with our many loyal guests and travel advisors. We have also been holding virtual events for guests who have been unable to stay at the hotel and developing our guest experiences, including new menus and cocktails.

What new and exciting experiences can guests expect this summer?

Our Art of Bond series, a new urban foraging guest experience, new summer picnic menus. You can also enjoy our in-suite Cocktail Masterclass, new secret Kensington walking tours. Not to forget, our special 'crown homemade tea pastry' as a welcome amenity for our guests.

What have you changed within the hotel?

The hotel had only been recently renovated with our new suites and residences just before the first lockdown, so it’s been more a case of keeping everything looking spectacular. We have started a Chef’s mini kitchen garden outside the Conservatory to try growing some of our own summer vegetables! We have a Covid-19 FAQ page if you have any concerns.

What do you offer for children and dogs?

We offer a full range of children's menus, a 'Milestone passport' on check-in and a mini 'bake-off' experience with the chef. Our family promotion enables children to eat free when parents book a second room. We also have a new Little Prince/Princess Afternoon Tea menu.

For pets we a food menu, as well as concierge services and V.I.P (Very Important Pet) amenities.

Will you have live music once again this summer?

Yes, most likely from July as we get busier with international travel restrictions being eased. Malcolm, our long-standing Pianist is always in demand with our regular guests!

What did you miss most about your hotel when the doors were closed?

Lack of atmosphere and team/guest engagement – it’s our reason for existing!

A warm welcome...
