Elegantly poised at the edge of Lake Geneva
Sit back and indulge in a truly quintessential English tradition. Our delicious afternoon teas include a scrumptious selection of warmly baked plain and raisin scones, delicious cakes prepared by our patisserie chef, and freshly hand-cut sandwiches including egg and mayonnaise, smoked salmon, chicken, and cucumber and cream cheese.
We offer a wide selection of speciality teas and you can also order Champagne by the glass and freshly squeezed juice and hot chocolate for little ones. The Chesterfield Palm Beach’s traditional Afternoon Tea is highly regarded. We observe the noble tradition in the way it demands and were Lord Chesterfield still with us, he would heartily approve.
Served between 12pm and 4pm, you may choose to take your tea in the intimate setting of our classically wood-panelled library, in the extravagant Leopard Lounge Bar, or in the open air of our sun-dappled Courtyard for an English summertime experience.
Sabrage is the technique of opening a bottle with a sabre - a method which became popular in France when the armies of Napoleon celebrated their victories. Napoleon is known to have said "Champagne! In victory one deserves it; in defeat one needs it." The blade travels up the neck of the bottle to break it away near the cork, leaving the main body of the bottle open and ready to pour.
