Leighton House Museum

Leighton House After Hours Experience

Leighton House is the former home of Frederic, Lord Leighton, an eminent artist of the Victorian era and President of the Royal Academy. Built in the 1860s, the house was designed as a showcase for artistic taste and to entertain and impress the foremost artists, collectors, and celebrities of the day.

The highlight of any visit is the extraordinary Arab Hall, which reflects Leighton’s fascination with the Middle East and features an extraordinary collection of ancient Islamic tiles, mosaic floors, and a calming fountain.
